About The Event
Sometimes, we learn more and more about less and less until we know nothing. The ability to focus is the key to productivity and progression. However, if we allow a singular focus to consume us, we may risk the prospect of a tunnel vision and forget that there’s always another angle, another option, another solution. In this workshop, we recognise the power in playfully shifting attention as a means to stay open, resourceful and creatively abundant. Join David for an afternoon of deep movement and conversation through a series of interactive games. Challenge the limits of your attentional spectrum across an interplay of focused awareness to self, others and the surrounding. We will zoom into. We will zoom out of. We will move. We will be moved. As a community, we will investigate different ways of perceiving and experiencing movement from various sources of inspiration. Learn how to navigate the overwhelm of information around us to discover a wealth of learning opportunities both on and off the mat. Upon which, we can reclaim our power of choice, mindfully projecting focus to wherever relevant. Open to all, and particularly useful for teachers and self-practitioners looking to gain confidence in self-led explorations.
