About the event
The creative poverty of not yet knowing is an invitation to play.
Join international movement artist and yoga teacher David Kam for a joyous day of community and connection.
The day begins with David's playful reimagination of a yoga practice. A 90minute masterclass tailored to the mind of the room, weaving classical forms of yoga postures with free-form movement. We will learn to move intuitively from a place of pleasure, discovering the world of expressive possibilities within ourselves and in relation to others. A deeply somatic journey between the dynamic and the restorative calm.
Beyond which, we venture deeper into various forms of play through a series of games. Celebrating togetherness as we build a responsive body and a flexible mind, free from the trap of living with the results of other people’s thinking. We will learn to craft highly individual solutions of our own, confidently navigating a non-binary practice away from rigidity and finality.
Together in movement and conversation, we will cultivate a curious culture, playing our way towards wellness. We will discover just how powerful play can be in the all-round pursuit of our wellness.
Open to anyone and everyone looking for a good time. Also particularly relevant for self-practitioners and teachers in treated in facilitating play and free movement in practice.
